Back window

Postby BurningSolara » Sun Sep 28, 2003 9:11 pm

My back window rattles hella bad. I need to know what can I do to reinforce the the the surrounding around the window to prevent the rattling. I have 2 12 infin per's and I wish to add a third. But, at this point that window will only get worse with more bass. Help!!!!!!
So me placing 10 inch rims on my car will make it handle better? Cool.

Dynamat. It's the plastic that's rattling.

If you want a cheap solution, turn down the sub.

dynamat...if you get it...get the extreme dynamat...if you can really afford it get the sprayliner or the acoustic foam to fill it up....and oh yea if you dynamat you're most likely gonna need a lot so buy a big roll of it. i did part of my trunk and it cost a lot...to do....and my trunk still rattles a bit...

Back back back window!

Postby BurningSolara » Mon Sep 29, 2003 6:10 pm

No, its not the plastic guys. Its the actual back window You can hear it outside the car! I dynamatted the trunk, trunk lid, the back deck parcel , the spoiler, the roof, the whole floor board, doors and everything. Only thing that isnt dynamatted is the hood. The actual back window rattles. When i push on the back window the rattle stops. Now Thats when i push on the back window,I do it from outside the car.

It only rattles in the left hand bottom corner though. I know when I add that other 12 in sub its getting to get increasingly worse. Not to mention where I live at its going to get really cold which is going to create a problem too. So The "back window" needs to be real sealed or something I dont know. I know that some people has placed more base in their cars that what i have done thus far ( 2 12 in Infinity perfects and a jbl 1200 + Infinity Kappa 693.5i
)

Yeah thanx, I would hate to pay the cost to my window re-sealed and then the same problems occur. I want something that bonds more tightly that whatever the factory used. if anyone has expeienced this or something like it pleae help me. I like my system l just dont like the window itself when it rattles. Other than that its pretty well dampend.
