Toyota Customer Assistance(?) Center

Some assistance! I complained to them, by phone a year ago about warrantee problems that the dealer can't/won't fix. They just scheduled another do-nothing trip back to the same dealer. This time a mechanic rode with me and confirmed an alignment problem (pulls left), clutch chatter & 3rd gear syncro problem. But as usual, nothing was fixed. No follow up by Customer Assistance. :x

Then I tried writing to Toyota Customer Assistance. No response after a month. I just called them and they confirmed that that they are over a month backlogged responding to complaints! Must be either too many complaints or not enough staff. Either way, it doesn't speak well for Toyota America.

I just wrote to the Toyota President & CEO asking for his assistance since his staff is so backlogged. Let's see how/if he responds.

It's really a shame because I like my Solara but it was delivered with Waaaay too many defects and Toyota warrantee support sucks.

Took your advice and tried another dealer. I can't believe the difference in attitude. This one actually treated me like I was a customer rather than an inconvenience. The people there introduced themselves and wanted to be helpful. A new Toyota experience for me!

However... They couldn't fix my alignment problem either. They said it's adjusted to Toyota specs. They acknowledged that they have "a few" customers complaining about the same 'pull to the left' problem.

Their alignment specialist inferred (picked his words very carefully) that the car is designed with insuffucient Caster to keep it tracking straight like other cars.

...but at least they were nice about it. :-?

NEVER, EVER buy a car from Toyota North in Mt Kisco, NY. They suck - big time
