Nice sleeper I like how ur molding the shroud. I might do some vacuum form later on to clean it up a bit. What projectors did u use? Output looks nice! I still need do adjust mine a little broke one of the aiming tabs so theres 2 step ups...

Yeah. It's pretty cool.
As of right now i tried 0.06" acrylic, but that didn't work so well, the new sheet i used is 0.03" High Impact plastic sheet, i'm thinin' about uppin' it up to 0.04" of High Impact plastic sheet.
I'm usin' BMW E46 bi-xenon projectors, OEM Denso ballasts, Phillips D2S 85122+ bulbs, custom made HID harness.
I also modded the shield, and put on a clear lens.
Yeah i'm still runnin' open headlights when the weathers nice here......

just pmed vietguy about buying his fx35 projectors for a retro for my gen 3 camry, any advice or tips. My friend is gonna help me, he did a good job of doing a retro fit to his civic. but this will be my first.

how are the fx35 projectors? and i watched some videos on doing diy retro fits on youtube and it looks pretty easy just time consuming. but how hard is doing the vacuum sealing plastic?

thanks guys! sorry for thread jacking

I don't think it would be too hard. This was my first time and I really didn't run into many problems... The Fx35's are a pretty nice projector especially with a upgraded clear lens. Havn't tried the vacuum forming yet, but it looks pretty straight forward hardest part is probablly building the vacuum table itself. Good luck, post up your progress!

how hard is it to upgrade the lens? is it pretty easy just a quick swap type of deal? and i guess they use a d2s bulb so new hid kit from kenny is needed! :) your projectors look sick though i113gal i like the dual projector setup!

im gonna buy a new set of housings as well from ebay and blacked out with clear lens cause my headlights suck right now
fx35
d2s
and maybe my 9006 35w 6000k HID somewhere in there as well

Im really not sure how hard it is to change the lens on the Fx's never seen them in person. My mini H1's just have a few screws that come out to release it so they could be the same. But yeah that sounds like a good setup. Check out the Fx's w/ TSX lens, that would have great output and they look just as amazing. I might be up to making another pair or two when I get some more time, works pretty crazy with all these flash floods...

Nice job! You can't go wrong with a retrofit in a Gen1 lara.....HID kits in the stock housings just SUCK.

I still love jumping into mine during the night time hours, now that I have proper lights :)

Yeah they have a pretty wide beam pattern on the streets.

Makin' the vacuum table isn't too hard. I can take a picture of my setup if you would like.
