Wow. Now im confused. Does anyone's solara ECU look like the second diagram? Either way thats the right wire and it gives accurate readings. I got it from the ECU pinout at my friends shop.

huh... my ecu looks just like that second diagram.. actually the 2 diagrams are exactually the same.. both have the same wires going from the same plugs... I was just looking at the voltages and it said that the one u had tapped ran a straight 3.3v.. and at the bottem it said that it didn't matter what the sensor sent, it was the same.. I have no clue.. anyone else have any input>?
Parting out my car!!! great upgrades for sale!

I believe the ECU pinouts are the same for ALL Solaras from 99-03. There is no designation for CA-SPEC vs. Federal. That is not to say that the ECU's are the same but the pin function is constant. Now for Camry's that's a whole different ballgame. Especially the 97 and 98 years.

I just ordered my air fuel gauge... so.. Im going to install it this weekend.. so it would help me out quite a bit.. thanks

I also can't get to the site.

Of the 4 wires on the o2 sensor, 2 are ground, one is constant 12v, and the other is variable (between 0-1V). The o2 sensor reads the voltage on the output wire(0-1V) and displays the A/F ratio.

The output wire goes to the ECU so it can adjust the a/f ratio accordingly.

Essentially an o2 sensor is just a variable resistor that changes with the a/f ratio.

I have yet to figure out how to hook up it.
After speaking with autometer I think some years might have a 5v o2 sensor which would mean the A/f gauge wouldn't work because it can only read from 0-1, when it sees a voltage of greater than 1 it just thinks the car is running EXTREMELY rich.

That being said, I haven't tried to hook it up in over 6 months. When i'm home from schoool I'll give it a shot
