You should read the information on Gadget's web page. The reason I asked him to help us is the problems they were having with the SC'd 4-Runner sounded very similar to the problems we have with the SC'd 1MZ-FE. I'm convinced that TRD was aware of the problem so they limited boost below ~3500RPM. This is the high gear low RPM problem they mention. I've changed the setup to alow the boost below this since I've upgraded the fuel system. Even if all you want to do is correct the top end, you should read some of the information Jim@ForeignAffairs wrote about our fuel system being inadequate under load. Our pump is only rated at 90LPH and injectors at either 230cc or 250cc stock. The 3188cc injectors and 190LPH pump has been verified by at least a couple respectable sources including RC Engineering. Although they recommended 310cc injectors the extra 8cc is not a problem and they are much less expensive from URD than buying Supra injectors. This is a very long winded "YES". I think there is benefit for anyone with a supercharger to upgrade their fuel system but especially those who have increased the boost. 2.7" pulley = 6.5psi. That is close to the max anyone is running. If money is an issue, I would do the upgrades in this order:
1) fuel pump
2) injectors
3) SS FTC-1
Buying the SC upgrade kit from URD is quite a deal and also includes other very important things like the thermostat and plugs. -JoeB
