Hey all, I'm still new to this thing, can someone please instruct me on how to find out my car is running lean or not + some basic stuff i should be aware of? at the monitor screen, i only see the af % ...and the knock % is always less than 0%?

the SAFC is untuned.

i was tuned and was able to read knock and then stupid me hit initialize to reset everything.

It doesn't have to be tuned to read knock though. Tuning it is adjusting the fuel trims. The setup for knock is in the instruction manual and is painfully easy to do. It's part of the initial setup. The best way to check if you are running lean is with a WB-O2 sensor and meter. If you just have the S-AFC-II, then set it up to monitor knock and watch it that way. -JoeB

yes i have the safc ii, but from the meter look - it's always low, is that a good thing?

mines actually wasn't moving at all. i talked to Ron (808Camry)about this, and if my memory serves me correctly, he said it was because it needed to be tuned.

try and dyno the car first, then tune it. during the dyno, you'll figure if your running lean or not.

Also, how do you find out the A/F is lean or not when is only telling you the percentage?

I got my sensor type

1. Hot Wire/ 15 in15 out / 1 in 1 out? Does it sounds alrite?

This thing is devil...really shouldn't play with it...I changed the sensor type to Karman for 3 mins by accident and almost gave me a heart attack.
