Airflow

Postby jim@foreignaffairs » Thu May 20, 2004 1:25 pm

That will depend on your engine speed more than throttle position. The S-AFC takes that airflow reading from the airflow meter, the faster the engine revs, the more airflow you will see. Once past 100% the computer will not be able to meter fuel properly. Hows the car running by the way?

running very nice... I love it.. im in the process of getting the upgraded fuel pump and hopefully soon I will be replacing the stock 4 pound pulley w\ my 7 pound pulley again... I may wait till I rebuild my tranny tho to be on the safe side.. Id rather rebuild the tranny to a full racing Automatic and get that power out of my motor, before I push it too hard...
Thanks again for all ur help Jim

That's good news

After all you have been through, that's really good to hear. I've been pretty lucky with my transmission I guess as I have had no problems at all except when worked hot and hard it is obvious it gets tired of tranfering all the torque, but continues to work fine when not over stressed. I do use synthetic ATF and a cooler which helps a lot, but I may end up getiing rid of this car later in favor of a more capable platform.
