Go get a new car if you want speed. Solara is NOT for going fast, but for going at a reasonable rate of speed and lookin DAMN FREEEKIN GOOD at it. Get suspension, rims, kit, HID projecter setup, and dual exhaust perhaps (though this is bordering on the performance aspect of aftermarket stuff, but get it for the low rumble COOL). I assume you already got a sound system to help the whole vibe out

And this point always gets brought up every now and then on the forum. If you want fast, go buy a G35. If you want to show up to those G35 owners, then get Benz E500. And if you want to show those owners up, get a BMW M5. THen if you want to show up those owners, get a..... The point is there is ALWAYS someone faster than ur ass out there. But there is NOT always some one out there lookin better or ridin clean. Just enjoy the engine you got, and work on looks cuz looks is where you actually sell the car to other ppl, whether they think its hot or not.

ya I understand that it's not for going incredibly fast, part of it was I needed a car because my 92 Camry was dying. But it's not an issue. I'm only looking for certain performance upgrades to set the car aside from others, then of course I'm gonna make it look pretty, I just have a thing where I think if the car looks great it should have great performance, not into just all flash ^_^

the car gets VERY respectable numbers for being a sport-luxury car. make it your own man
If it doesn't kill you.....it only makes you faster!

I'm sure he wants a FASTER car, not the fastest car on earth. I'm sure most people realized the Solara's deadend ;-)

I'd say you get the supercharger and then get the TRD rear sway bar (about $155 shipped) as soon after the s/c as possible. That would help the handling until you can get a suspension (about 600-700 for springs and struts, or you can save up for TEIN/JIC FLT-A1 coilovers which run around 1100, or the JIC FLT-A2 for around 1600 or so.
1GR-FE ftw!

im 100% sure..if you can get here and remove the supercharger and replace it with the stock manifold...i will only ask for $1000...and if i see that you made an effort in doing it within due time(soon)...i might even let it go for 900!
IN FACT I LIKE THAT IDEA: im gonna start a new thread...

Back to the original thread; I agree with the people who recommend suspension upgrades. It's more than just for the lowered look; it will really improve your car's handling. So, it kills two birds with one stone. The supercharger is great, too, but it doesn't give you a huge jump in power. You'll end up spending much more money that the supercharger costs just to get more out of it.
