Locate the 2 gear bolts.

You'll see an hided gear wheel with an 8mm head. if you screw it your headlight will go up...un-screw it will go down.

Facing the car watching toward the back of it...
If you turn it right (unscrew=light aiming down)
If you turn it left (screw=light aiming up)

Use an extension for driver side to help you reach the bolt.
Passenger side doesn't need it...easy reach.

To reach the bolt, pass under the metal support.

Sebastian, what's the best way to tell if you have them adjusted right (other than noticing no one flashes their lights at you :lol: )?

haha...I would answer that you see well and at a good distance and you have no flash at you...I use the wall as a scale. Ok let's go down to this brick there. Nthing scientitfic. See the picture !? :)

^^You mean the factory HID, right? Unfortunately, most factory HIDs are designed to accommodate/adjust to road conditions (e.g. on slopes), since HID blinding motorist is much more prevalent than halogen; especially since some countries/states/whatever have rules in place about it. On the other hand, there's no requirements in halogen for mechanical leveling, and in a world where lowering production costs is the name of the game, NO manufacturer would do that.

With all this in mind, even HIDs may have to be adjusted, but I'm sure there's a leveling mechanism in the lights smart enough to figure out when it IS misaligned... So the only way our cars CAN self-adjust [that I can think of] as of the moment is if you retrofitted a Gen2.5 HID into the car.

I've tried the long screwdriver method and it is really hard and takes forever. If you can reach around with a socket and an elbow ratchet, you can really make a fast adjustment that way, but it's a bit tricky to get in there from behind. I'd take pics but can't right now. It's basically turning the same thing but from a different angle and more efficient. ;)

??? hard to get there ?? The driver side needs an extension to the 8mm socket. the passenger side is way easier.

Actually a short extension helps both sides with the elbow - but on the pass side you have to bend the windshield washer fluid spout over just a bit.
