It would have been much easier if i had a lift... Yep im just replacing the clutch and having my stock flywheel machined. This is my second time putting a clutch in this car, the first time i followed toyota procedure the whole way, which had me take the subframe COMPLETELY off the car which meant unbolting all the engine mounts...which was way way to much work.
This time i just supported the whole cradle with a cherry picker, put a jack under the passenger side to hold the engine up, and dropped the picker(note that you will have to drop the passenger side at least an inch or two as the cradle bolts have a fitted collar that slides into the body(it will become more clear when i get all the pics up)) i let the drivers side drop, and wala! plenty or room to move the tranny around(even take it out) without removing the cradle completely...save my ass a ton of work.
