Looks like a real pain in the nuts.

I need to get a new clutch too. I also bought a TRD LSD which I have yet to install. I think I'll do them both at the same time.

I think I'd rather pay someone who knows what they are doing, rather than mess it up myself.

What exactly are you doing? Just replacing it?

Good luck!

You make me NOT want to change my clutch. Looks horribly hard and painful.

It would have been much easier if i had a lift... Yep im just replacing the clutch and having my stock flywheel machined. This is my second time putting a clutch in this car, the first time i followed toyota procedure the whole way, which had me take the subframe COMPLETELY off the car which meant unbolting all the engine mounts...which was way way to much work.

This time i just supported the whole cradle with a cherry picker, put a jack under the passenger side to hold the engine up, and dropped the picker(note that you will have to drop the passenger side at least an inch or two as the cradle bolts have a fitted collar that slides into the body(it will become more clear when i get all the pics up)) i let the drivers side drop, and wala! plenty or room to move the tranny around(even take it out) without removing the cradle completely...save my ass a ton of work.

yeah, my car had 51k on it when i got it, and the stock clutch went out at like 70k. My ACT clutch still had plenty of wear left in it, the disc just broke into pieces...

The spec pressure plate is much heavier than the act...

I ordered a set of 15x8 wheels from Tires.com and i got a set of spacers for the front...I have to decide on a sticky tire...im thinking about full on slick to really take advantage of the stage 4...and the axle warranty...I ordered the wheels with more offset than the ones i have now to give me more clearance in between the strut and the tire, also the spacers will help..i am thinking i might be able to squeeze a 275 width tire on the front.

225+(15x2extra offset)+(15x2spacers)
in theory i should be able to fit a 285...wow thats gonna hook....
