TRD Rear Sway Bar

TRD Rear Sway Bar

Postby QuickSEV6 » Wed Feb 22, 2006 7:41 am

Alright guys, I'm the jerk that won that rear sway bar on Ebay last week. Thanks for trying to outbid me and raising my grand total.
The reason for this post is just to let you all know how happy I am with it. I installed it last night at work (yes, I work night shift). Its very easy to assemble and disassemble. The hardest part of the whole operation was removing the old bar and placing the new bar in its place because of all of the bends in the bar.
Doing the install in the dark with a faint light in the parking lot and a flashlight was simple. I asked a friend to help me get the bar out. He asked me what was wrong with my original sway bar. Some people just don't understand. Anyway, he pushed and I pulled. Suddenly, something gave away and smashed my thumb against the brake rotor. My thumb is still throbbing and I'm sure my nail will fall off in a couple of weeks.
The good news is, I took a very indirect route home. A route with lots of turns and I couldn't be happier. Very little body roll. Its like being on a rail. If you find another TRD rear sway bar, I suggest, in the strongest possible terms, that you jump on it. You won't regret it.
Now I need to start saving for the JIC coilovers.

If you don't mined me asking how much did you pay for it? I have one on my camry that I was thinking about selling but I don't have the stock one to replace it. Just trying to figure out if it is worth my time.

I'm embarassed to say that I paid a lot more than that. I also found toyotapart4u.com has a page for the sway bar, but I think thay are out of stock.
If you need a stock sway bar, PM me. I have no intetion of ever using it again.

You need either more grease, or a better grade of grease.
Either that or turn up your radio.
