Help With Lowering Springs

i just put 17" black MSR's on my 1999 toyota solara sle v6 and its still sitting up pretty high, i want it low to the ground, i foundsome springs that drop it 2"-2.5", i didnt know if that wld make a big difference or not, please help

i hurd it takes about a month for the springs to break in and actually makeur car lower, and i hurd its like a 16 hour job lol, cuz imma do it myself instead of payin some dude to do it for me for like 300 bucks, screw that...any tips or opinions?

..... no need to make 2 posts on the same topic.... you wont be able to install these yourself. you have no idea what a compressor is so im guessing you dont have one? take it to a shop and have them install the springs for you...

A spring compressor could be either rented for free or for some minimal cost. I did it myself using the DIY instructions and they helped me a lot.
You would need some help from a friend though. It took me a very long time I would say about 8~9 hours including some breaks here and there.
I found the most difficult part is removing the small links which are bolted on to struts(1 at each) other then that it is a headache to take apart the inside of the car so that you'll be able to reach the rear struts.
Take time to do it properly and follow the instruction in the DIY.

a spring compress really isnt nessassry unless you can picture youself pushing down on the springs and trying to get a nut into the top of the strut.

I didnt need one, just have to push the spring down and screw it on. it will be a lot eaiser if you had 2 people for that part...i did mine myself 2 times, 2nd time was a piece of cake...first time..dont even ask.

But i would do it again...

You will most likely need a spring compressor to get the oem springs off, or you may hurt yourself. You can rent them or even purchase the manual screw types for $10-15 at an auto parts store.

if you have someelse do it, expect to pay anywhere between 120-even500 bucks for installation.
and it should take anywhere between 3-4 hours.
