Painted my calipers

If you want to see the stock wheels with red calipers, check out

http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/520457/2 I'll be getting a better shot (from a distance) as soon as my new digital camera comes in. (The old one got run over by a lawn mower - ouch!)

I used a brush on enamel paint and let it dry at least 20 minutes between coats. Three coats on each caliper. Only paid $15 for a kit which included spray on caliper cleaner, about 8 oz. paint, brush and masking tape (which I didn't bother with.)

By removing the two bolts that hold the caliper to the disc, you can remove it and have much better access to the sides/bottom. Don't get paint on the bleeder valve! Remember that the bolt with the rubberized tip goes on the bottom....

I did the front wheels one at a time because I don't have a good enough jack that I trusted enough to take both off. For the rear, I borrowed a good floor jack and centered it on the frame and did both wheels at once.

The instructions say not to drive the car for 24 hours so that the enamel can cure long enough it won't blister.

Dawgz, same stuff - Duplicolor. Thought about trying to do it with the wheels on, but didn't want to risk getting that crap on the wheels - it's tough to get off without damaging the finish. Looks sharp though. I think the factory should paint 'em for us - just like Dodge does on the Neons.

yea i feared that but i really dont have access to a garage or a lift, and i dont wanna lift it up myself cause a person around my neighbor hood was squashed tryn to do that and do an oil change, its like a fear, so i gave it a shot it worked, and also i did drop one drop, but it was mad easy to get off, i rubbed it with my finger then there was a thing layer left and i just used my other finger to rub it off, its really easily removable from the wheels if u do it immediatly
