Nice to see a Gen 1.5 convert on here though!
Jeff, you are lucky to not have been acquianted with LOVE BUGS! I have no love for the damn things!
They were supposedly introduced to FL to eat some other bug that was causing problems...only no one researched the buggers first.
They SWARM, and I didn't put that in capital letters by mistake. You could be driving down the road and come up upon a swarm that completely obscures your view. Then, they SPLAT all over your car in a very messy way.
Bad thing...their bodies are very acidic and if you don't get them off soon enough, they will literally EAT though your paint. It's a pain in the ass, and there are two love bug seasons each year...hate 'em.
Why do they call the love bugs, you ask? Well, you didn't ask, but I'm gonna tell you ANYWAY!
All they do is FUK and die...literally. The fly around connected to eachother (very aimlessly) and they reporduce and then they die.
They are AWFUL, and I wish they would go away. I'm not sure any birds even eat them because of the acid.
