To lower your car, you will need either new springs, or coilovers. You can use your OEM shocks, and use new lowering springs with them, or you can choose to buy new shocks as well. (I recommend buying new shocks and springs at the same time...Tein springs and Tokico shocks seems to be popular) Essentially, the new springs are coiled tighter meaning that there are fewer coils so, initially the car sits lower on the shocks. Coilovers is a shock and spring in one, and its adjustable....but its fairly expensive. If your like me...someone who can't spend a fortune on parts, but *wants* to.... then go with a good set of Eibach or Tein springs and a nice set of KYB or Tokico shocks.
