To lower your car, you will need either new springs, or coilovers. You can use your OEM shocks, and use new lowering springs with them, or you can choose to buy new shocks as well. (I recommend buying new shocks and springs at the same time...Tein springs and Tokico shocks seems to be popular) Essentially, the new springs are coiled tighter meaning that there are fewer coils so, initially the car sits lower on the shocks. Coilovers is a shock and spring in one, and its adjustable....but its fairly expensive. If your like me...someone who can't spend a fortune on parts, but *wants* to.... then go with a good set of Eibach or Tein springs and a nice set of KYB or Tokico shocks.

For shocks and springs... eh, about a 200 - 300 dollar budget... :-?

save up just a tad bit more and u can get tokico struts, Eibach springs (or maybe Tein if u wanna go that route), and Strut mounts.

Well, thats an awesomely clean looking ride. Only thing missing is the drop; since you bought shocks, all you might need are the dropping springs.

BTW, what pocket?

I didnt buy shocks... but oh well... By pockets, i mean budget. If you have deep pockets you have a high budget and spend more. If you have small pockets you have a low budget and cant spend too much.

What would be the least expensive route to take? ALSO: i really dont want to have too much of a drop cuz the last owner had a rubbing problem with the wheels. He had a 2" drop. IOW i want the cheapest safest way to go.

TRD Springs generally drop less than 1.5" (1.2" F and 1.4" R on Gen2)... remember that drop and rubbing problems can also be due to bigger than stock wheels.
