Tacti and I met up in Indy this weekend for the Formula One race.

We had two day park and camp passes. We came in on Saturday, set up tents and checked out the qualifying races at the track. It was freakin' hot though. $3.00 for a microchip sized tube of sun block seemed like a good deal to me after a couple hours.

Here are a few pics ...

Me, a Foster's and Indiana's Finest ... OK, it was an empty car. The cops must really love F1 races cause there were a ton of them there!

The stands are pretty empty the day before the big races. Most of the crowd is at the other end of the track.

Finally, Formula One! Holy Crap these guys are fast and loud! I just can't get enough of the 140 dB screaming of V-8s and V-10s.

The Mercedes Benz made a respectable run at it.

Of course Toyota was out there with their car.

The Race on Sunday: As usual, Ferrari takes the Pole and second position. Cripes! When will Ferrari domination end?

I have a few more pictures, but Photobucket keep resizing them down. I'll fix it and post up the rest.

Toyota's Trulli takes 4th place and Ralf Schumacher, who was in fifth place, goes out with a bad wheel bearing.

Wow Brian! Lucky!!!!

I would love to go to an F1 race, absolutely love it. I caught a tiny bit of thsi on TV, didn't know you guys made it out. Which by the way I don't thikn I've ever seen any 2 gen 2's compliment eachother as well as yours do. They're great on their own, but they look absolutely sick next to one another.

Looks like you guys had a good time. One day I'll make it up there, or somewhere who knows to an event. It's truely something special to see. I guess they don't do the CART cars turning downtown miami into a roadcourse any more. I've been down there to see the track set up, but never got to an event, I'm sure that would be fun, but would never hold a candle to Formula 1!

sry man but there were 2 cautions at the beginning of the race, i stopped watching bc those morons couldnt make it thru the 1st corner on the track without wrecking.

who wants to sit around and watch them take caution laps? not me

formula 1 needs a good nerf

I didn't hear who was the cause of the wreck. I know rookie Scott Speed was in the midst of it and so was Juan Pablo Montoya. Juan has the experience but not in F1, so I consider him somewhat of a rookie.

I agree the caution is a pain but it didn't last too long. The sad part was that as soon as the first caution went down, there was another incident.

It was sad you couldn't come down. I hope the puppy is doing OK.

I ended up scalping the tix for a fraction of face value. Attendance was way down this year and scalpers couldn't get rid of tickets.

It was a great time. The four of us managed not to get thrown into jail on Saturday night. <Very suprisingly> You know, we never could figure out what to type into a navigation system to find a strip club. LOL.

I have updated my webpage, but i decided not to put pictures on this thread...
PhreakedOut has much better pictures, and my pictures are pretty much the same thing as what he has...

if you are interested in, please visit my page

I tried couple more times looking for strip club on my nav, but still have no luck.. lol
well.. it should be okay tho, now i know that asking people on the street would be the easiest way to locate nearest strip club!
good time.. good time.

I hope you Mom doesn't use your Nav and find saved searches for a strip club. :o lol

If they kill F1, we may have to switch to Indy Cars at the 500. (Oval track though.)
