Pics of Solara @ F1 Race Weekend (no 56K)
Tacti and I met up in Indy this weekend for the Formula One race.
We had two day park and camp passes. We came in on Saturday, set up tents and checked out the qualifying races at the track. It was freakin' hot though. $3.00 for a microchip sized tube of sun block seemed like a good deal to me after a couple hours.
Here are a few pics ...

Me, a Foster's and Indiana's Finest ... OK, it was an empty car. The cops must really love F1 races cause there were a ton of them there!
Saturday's Indy Pro Series Qualifying:
The stands are pretty empty the day before the big races. Most of the crowd is at the other end of the track.

Porsche SuperCup In the Garage:
Now I see how you get access to the pits ...
Finally, Formula One! Holy Crap these guys are fast and loud! I just can't get enough of the 140 dB screaming of V-8s and V-10s.
The Mercedes Benz made a respectable run at it.
Of course Toyota was out there with their car.
The Race on Sunday: As usual, Ferrari takes the Pole and second position. Cripes! When will Ferrari domination end?
I have a few more pictures, but Photobucket keep resizing them down. I'll fix it and post up the rest.
Toyota's Trulli takes 4th place and Ralf Schumacher, who was in fifth place, goes out with a bad wheel bearing.
Here are the results of the race from the Indy website:

This thing hauled a$$ around the track and sounded increadibly tough. 481 Hp 6.3L V-8 with modified brakes, suspension and exhaust. Very nice!
