Overdrive is gone... should I pull a code?

no...not wiring... if it were wiring it would stay lit when in EVERY gear... this turns off in neutral, and reverse.. then turns back on for Drive.. its not wiring.. it worked, then it tried to drop it back into overdrive but couldn't.. its fried.. it tried to go back into overdrive but the clutches weren't gripping, so it disabled itself

believe me.. I looked it up also.. I checked wires... if overdrive WAS working, then it should still be working, UNLESS the selinoid sensed that it wasn't shifting into overdrive properly... ECU = Engine Control Unit, therefor it would moniter everything.. including the tranny.. thats why there are 3+ wiring harnesses going to the tranny.. it can make it so it will PROTECT itself... if it is having a hard time, it will not allow it and try it again.. then after a while, it will pull a code...

If you can find a place to look for the wiring problem, let me know and Ill look.. but its hardly worth it... it tried to engage it into overdrive, but the clutches slipped.. and stopped trying.. this would mean, my overdrive clutches are FRIED... but let me know how the research goes
