coming from VA, take 95N, thru Delaware, and follow signs for the NJ Tpk.

Take NJ Tpk all the way to the north end, follow signs for the George Washington Bridge

Take the GWB, and then follow signs for 295S (Cross Bronx Expressway) to the Throgs Neck Bridge - Take the Throgs neck to The cross Island Parkway south to the LIE East and follow the previously posted directions.

(P.S. you're going to need money for tolls for the turnpike probably 6-10 bucks for the whole trip - no clue how much it is now - 6 dollars for the GWB and 4 dollars for the throgs neck bridge)

All the way up the NJ Tpke/I-95N...man thats a killer drive.

Thai, Id ask if u wanna meet up, but I dont know what time were gunna hit 95, or the rest stops on I95N (ive only gone south for all my MD/VA roadtrips), so Ill guess Ill just see u there.

I hope you survive the turnpike man, thats a long boring ride.

Thanks bro and big thanks to Gyaf for the direction.

I used to drive all the way up to Boston in the last two years (like once a month average), so it'll be alright tomorrow.

Hopefully I could push my car to the max in the turnpike. Last time on the way to NJ meet, I got up to 125.

Let's see this time with the CAI, the Greddy 2, and the new oil changed yesterday, how much faster it will takes me. :D :D

Btw, I'd leave here around 6:30 - 7 am, and probably will be there around 11 or 11:30 (depending of how lost i'd be, :D).

Remember to wait for me, guys.

and Chrystie, I got present for you as well.

Sorry for the duplicate post again, but I just want to make sure this is the right direction that I'll follow tomorrow.

Can someone (Gyaf and other in NY) please check and confirm for me? Thanks.

coming from VA, take 95N, thru Delaware, and follow signs for the NJ Tpk.

Take NJ Tpk all the way to the north end, follow signs for the George Washington Bridge

Take the George Washington Bridge and then follow signs for 295S (Cross Bronx Expressway) to the Throgs Neck Bridge -

Take the Throgs neck to The cross Island Parkway

south to the LIE East

Take the LIE East to Exit 38, which is the switchover to the Northern State Parkway.

Take the northen state parkway to exit 33, Wantagh Parkway South..

Stay on the Wantagh parkway south past the last exit (6).

Continue down the parkway until you reach the toll booths.

Stop and buy a parking ticket (8 dollars i believe).

From there, merge back into traffic, and continue until you reach the traffic circle in front of the tower.

Take the first right out of the traffic circle to continue to get onto Ocean Parkway West -

and make a right into the 1st parking lot on your right side - Field #4.

Thai good luck with the ride tomorrow.
Geoff, thanks a lot for the directions, and i am sure it helped most of the people coming.

I know that Jon, Chris, Chrystie, Thai, Wortown, Grazi, Geoff, Casey, Eugene, and I have recently posted in this thread, so that leaves

MGLax13 and slingshot that are supposed to come tomorrow but havent posted on the thread in several days. I will PM them both and make sure they are still coming.

Hope to see you all tomorrow @ 11am field 4.

my 24 hours journey

Postby Fenix » Sun Jul 18, 2004 4:28 am

:D I'm finally home.

My 24 hour story:

* Left home at 7:30 Saturday, stuck on Baltimore toll road 30 min, stuck on NJ Turnpike 1 hour (some accident), stuck on George Washington Bridge NY for another 45 min, stuck on Wantagh Parkway 20 min ....

* Got to AppleBee at 2:30, met all the new gals and guys, got enough time to glup down 2 tall glasses of Sam Adams, but not the chicken wings, :) :(

* Got to the Jones Beach with the group, played tag football. 7 hours drive + 2 big beers + some chicken wings + 1st time playing tag football on the sand and under the sun did a WONDERFUL trick on me. After dropping a wide open TD from the quarterback WortownSolara, I passed out, :( :( , sorry for the Solara team's loss, guys.
Quoted from one of the guys: "Do you own the Solara, then act like it" LOL

* Stayed around in the beach parking lot with Jon11582 and cruze105 (locked key in the car) for a while, and isolated my HID so it wouldn't come on driving daily.

* Stayed with Jon11528 in NJ for dinner and went around town sight-seeing (thanks Jon)

* Left NJ around 12 pm

* Stopped at the rest area in NJ Turnpike around 1:45 pm, and sletp til 4:30, :D , that was the best ...

* Got home at 7:10 am, and on the way home, I managed to kill one Mustang GT, one Honda Accord coupe V6 2000, one Mercedes C230 Kompressor coupe, one Ford "built for touch" truck, LOL

The sound of the CAI + Greddy Evo 2 was so cool in the early morning.

Well, time to go back to sleep.
Later guys

I forgot to put on sunblock (you would think Chrystie using a bottle and a half would have reminded me) and my face was pretty fried last night.

That was a pretty damn good time - I think Jon hit all the highlights (that waiter was a freak)

throw up some pictures - i gotta go play a baseball game in the rain now.

later
