Only intake that will do any good is a CAI. Avoid the short ones, they have been reported to actually have a negative impact on performance on the 1MZ-FE engine.

Best bet is to try the search function - intakes have been discussed a lot and there should be some good threads you can find that will help you with what you are looking for and need.

Yup most common route is the injen intake and the cold air extensions.
If you want it in one package, I believe AEM makes a cold air intake.
Congrat's on the Solara.

the only bad thing the short ram intake will do is take away some low end.

however once the rpm's get higher thats when the intake is better off w/ performance due to the size of the intake filter.

comparing filters, the ones that injen style intakes use has less restriction than stock airbox filters.

however for stock airbox users, there is a K&N drop in filter that can help out.

Just buy the Injen Intake and get Danny's extension. I thought you resolved that ebay intake issue? Don't waste more time. IMO.
