Have a question about my Solara drinkin' up gad like no other. In my 1998 Camry V6 wit a 1MZFE in it, same as the Solara which has a 1MZFE in it. Why does my 2000 Solara drink up more gas than my 98 Camry???
What you guys think the problem could be.

my best guess would be because you drive it harder.

The solara likes to be driven faster than a v6 camry

what milage do you have on both cars. Were your sparks replaced on the solara with BOSCH. (from what i've heard bosch gives crappy milage). OTher maint stuff done to boht cars will help us to answer this question better. in theory you should get similar milages...for those who think the camry is not as friendly to drive...it may be...but it is much more of a 'perfect sleeper' than the solara!

Edited bosh to bosch...

19 round town, 25 highway, I don't think that's bad for a S/C'ed V6.

BTW it's Bosch, AKA Robert Bosch Corp.

I don't drive my car hard that much, and all i have on the V6 Cmary is a TRD radiator cap, which i'm about to switch to the Soalra. the Camry has about 71k on it, and the Solara has about 56-60k on it. Both i think are under mileage. I'm not sure what spark plugs are on the Solara.

If I remember right the Camry is slightly lighter than the Solara. That might account for a little bit of the difference.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

but then again i think solara was vert marginally more powerful than the camry (to accomodate the difference in weight).

I'm guessing its fuelfilter/sparks and/or some tuneup service that was performed on the camry and is either pending or was done inaccurately on the solara.
