i have KYBs and the ride quality feels solid...i wanted tokicos but ebay didn't have any at the time...besides they are silver and i'm not a big fan of the glossy blue tokicos peaking through a bit of fender gap but that's just me...

for best shocks, i still would have to go with the now discontinued/overpriced TRD/Bilstein shocks. Some dont like em but personally I think itll outlast and outperform both tokico and the kyb.

Awesome!!! you are one who knows the correct term for our suspension.

Strut.

as you can tell, the majority that are lowered have Tokico struts. TRD is discontinued, however seemed to be superior and pricey.

Castro- dude... you know better, don't get them mixed up! we have struts not shocks!!!

thank you for ur replies guys. I just need to know because i'm deciding on which on to buy. As of rite now, i'm going with the kyb since it's 50 dollars a piece while the tokicos are 85. therefore i just need to know about the kyb struts' quality.

For other applications KYB is alright, but i have heard many horror stories at toyotanation of KYBs blowing out.

I'd stay away from them and stick with the tokico struts
