What tires do you guys run on your Solara?

Also how many miles before you changed your front pads?

bridgestone s-03 pole position- hardcore tires, at a hardcore price.

on brakes, it really depends on how you drive.

2 cars that have the same brakes can wear out faster than another.

just check the brake level periodically when you take your wheel off.

you should be able to see how much brake you have left by peaking into the hole on the caliper.

This car is actually my GF's but I drive it. I have been lax on keeping up with stuff on it.
I love it! She drive my Xterra to work which is a short drive and I drive her Solara.

Also I'm getting a low moaning noise out of the the car when I'm driving it. It's not engine related because it doesn't change with the RPM's. It's a moving part and I'm thinking it's the tires but not sure. Anybody heard of anything similar? The Tone does change with my speed.

Actually between the 2 of us we have the perfect car for all occasions. Living in NY we need a 4wd vehicle. I love running into town to get bread in the middle of a snow storm. Can't do that in a solara where I live. Also the Solara can't hold all my camping gear and mtn bikes at the same time.

It's not the CV joints they are fine and don't make noise when I make tight turned I tried that first.
I think it's the tires but I'm not 100% sure.
How common is it for the front bearings to go?

Sumitomo HTR+ about $100 each. I did my pads and rotors at about 75,000 miles, but they didn't need it yet. I just wanted to upgrade :).
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

I'm debating getting a good set of tires. Spending 120 a tire on my xterra 100 doesn't sound to bad to me.

Also I may if I have the time and money up grade the rotors and pads.
