I'm planning on changing the tranny fluid to Redline and I was wondering is there any special procedures I have to do besides draining and refilling it?

lol, but no matter what, just by taking off the plug won't get the last 2 qts out.

tranny fluid drain & refill is sometimes a waste of money....( i do it, i admit), but you don't get all the old juice out...hence...i'd recommend tranny flush if your changing it to redline!

Edit: if you are also worried about your tranny's, might as well consider a cheap tranny cooler....they don't ding the wallets more than 2bills!

try 8-11 qrts for a full flush, not 5.

there's no pinpoint number, since a machine does the flushing.

Don't we have that special "pink" Toyota transmission fluid? I've been told that I need to "only use Toyota transmission fluid". Is that true? Cuz mine is looking dirrrrrrttttyyyy. Shootz.

Yeah, i think he's confused.. but about the colors, intresting that the camry's/solara use red, and prius and lexus now use pink coolant (its got more life than the the red coolant). But coming back to the topic..Toyota ATF is good.

Doing a flush uses 10-11 qts, I did mine myself.

I use Redline D4 ATF.
