sup everyone.
i bought a green 99 v6 last thursday. so far i changed fuel filter. k&n drop in. this weekend i'll flush the tranny. it took so long to detail interior and exterior. i still had issues with the clay bar. it was my first time, i followed directions but still didn't get all the bugs out from my drive from dallas to atl. any advice? up next is tint, maybe 28 (i can't stand the clear windows) then exhaust. i'll post somewhere about which catback to get. i'm more of an audio man. i work at a panasonic plant in ga that makes OEM audio and video systems for cars. they got some pretty cool OEM stuff but i think i'll stick with the "sample" lcd screens :)

Congrats & welcome! Its nice to see another Atlanta Solara!!!

What kind of clay & lube were you using? Have you checked out www.autopia.org yet? They have lots of good info on detailing & claying. Don't want to offend you if you are experienced ...I've picked up a lot of good tips based on the experience & mistakes of others. The first time I clayed I probably didn't do as good of a job as I'll do this weekend...I was tentative & didn't want to make any mistakes.

What kind of wash did you use and did you try any sort of bug cleaner before claying? From TX to GA you went through some hot territory & may have baked the bugs on.
