OK, My cat is ratting like a marble in a jar. Not to mention the terrible smell. I need to replace ASAP. I'm looking for good ideas on max flow cats.

Thx

8) Well I spoke with Eric and the good folks at JPP. They are sending me another cat right away. I paid a small fee but it was more then acceptable.

JPP - Still good people to work with. : :D

Yeah, glad to hear that you got it worked out. Eric and Jose are good people to deal with. I know that there have been a few people who've had similar problems with the JPP cat. I'm sure that Jose has been responsive in dealing with the problem. I think there's a couple of threads about it on Camryman.org.

Not sure about bouncing around and high revs. It's there all the time. To the point I will not drive the car until I get the replacement.

I believe JPP is going to take care of this problem..

it might be, if you hear a raspy sound as you drive about 30%+ throttle you could have the bug.

Could be the o2 sensor's around it or it could be the cat itself. I would check the sensors before replacing it.

If it says the catalyst O2 sensor efficiency under thread hold or something like that, then it is O2 sensor give you problem. all you need is a O2 stimualtor.

I had the same exact problem. It turned out that it wasn't the cats fault or the o2 sensors(i had po420) Turned out that the k&n air filter was over oiled and got the MAF sensor dirty. We cleaned the MAF sensor and the code hasn't come back. I also ditched the k&n for a toyota air filter. Also didn't notice any power difference between the two filters.

Hey I replaced my cat with a dynatech powercat, and when we removed the JPP one it looked fine no probs but the mechanic said when he was taking it off it seemed as if something was loose inside. Also the smell is gone now with my new cat. I recommend it for anyone looking for a replacement.

OK, I got my new cat from Eric and good folks over at JPP today. It must have been going bad for awhile now. The car sounds so much deeper and sweeter. The old cat rattled like a beer can full of marbles once off.

Thanks to the folks at JPP.
