Intrax's go a bit lower than the Eibachs, I have run both 225/45 and 215/50 without any problems, so you should be ok.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

Coilovers can drop you that low or lower. check this guy out with the JIC Magic Flt-A2 rolling all the way down and he seems to be ok. http://www.pbase.com/turbotoy/turbo_solara
Springs with Struts on the other hand will not be as tight of a suspension so it depends really. There are these cheap springs out there that can drop you 2.0". I will be harsh for the gas struts to handle in the long run.

I have not had any problems yet and have had them for a few months. Everyone else has no complaints. They are the best performance struts out for the Solara.

Tokico warranty is only good for 1.5" drop or less. You’re playing at your own risk really.
I went with Vogtland springs 1.5" drop. Main reason is because I was not ready for coilover set up yet and I also knew that springs won’t drop the car like I want anyway so I went safe for resale reason.
