Not that i know of. Plus if you skimp on something like this, it's like letting someone hold you by your shoes over the edge of a building. You may not fall but then again you may. I value my life to much to cut corners.

Stock isn't bad but your not going to gain anything after all that work. The stock engine isn't going to produce all that much extra power unless you do a few minor things. Though the stock engine can hold up into the 600's easy.

Yeah, such a stupid law. I guess it's to stop people from putting a 1901 engine in a 2000 car to avoid emissions. I think they should let you do it but still make your motor pass the requirements that are set for the year of car you put it into. Not such a hard thing to do. Then if they let you go without the OBD with the aem you can tune it way better than a stock ecu can. Make that sucker run cleaner on less gas. Oh well, in the end they just dont want people changing their cars.
