now i feel guilty that someone actually picked up on my politically incorrect statement that i made on women. Some women can drive well, better than me i can say, just that most in my circle of existance seem to scare the isht out of me when i am in the passenger seat. Anyways, no pun intended.

As a whole i believe most women cant drive well, but they stay safe because they go slow. Men are much better drivers, but usually they think with the wrong part of the body and go too fast or do stupid things. Regaurdless i wont let my mom or my sister get near my car

ok...i do get a little upset by this (well not upset! i just like disagreeing! ) i don't think women drive slow and even if they do..why should this be a bad thing?? o no! she's going speed limit..not 60 on a 40 road!! i thought we all agreed that speed is reckless??

Some women can be good drivers, and Missay I am assuming that you are a good driver, because you care about your car. See my mom has no clue what an engine is. My personal view is that if you don't respect the car, you can't be that great of a drivers. Guys can be bad drivers, infact i have a friend with a brand new 2002 Mustang Bullit mustang and he has crashed it twice. Although generally i have found women to be bad drivers

this is definitely a myth and assumption...people just think it's true b/c people say it so much. it's like when people say they're gonna get sick b/c they went outside w/ wet hair...you're not going to get a cold from going out w/ wet hair!! you can only get sick by germs!! not the best comparison..but close enough.

heeh..it sounds like i'm heated and i'm not (this is just kinda fun to debate!). i don't think i'm the best driver in the world, but i don't think it has anything to do w/ the fact that i'm female. some people are just better drivers than other.

why can't you be a good driver if you don't know how a car works?? if anything, i'd say people who think of their car as transportation are better driver's cause they're less distracted by worrying about what they or their car looks like, and are more concerned w/ driving and safety.

I think the whole insurance thing is a scam. I have this perfect 5 year driving record with one little minor accident 3 years ago and my insurance is SOO much higher than a female friend of mine with like 6 accidents, 2 of which are her fault. Four of them weren't, but she certainly could have avoided them by the way she described them.

Anyway, I'm not saying whether men or women are the better drivers. I don't really have an opinion on the matter. Driving with the appearance of being reckless doesn't actually make you a bad driver either.

i think it comes down to, for the most part is that women are careless, and men are just wreckless. You never see a high speed accident with a female driving, but a fender bender cause she was trying to apply lipstick and drive at the same time. Of cousre this is just a vague sterotype, and only holds a small amout of weight. There are always exception to the rule

thats what i meant by ''wreckless'', as far as women crashing like that? I personally never seen or even heard of some girl doing that. girls are usually in controll, when we're not!
