I'm tired of seeing the 350 Z, Mazda Rx-8, and others make a comeback.

there were rumors last year that the supra would come back for 2002 or 2003 as teh 4000gt powered and based on the lexus SC430. I have yet to see any evidence of the new supra which was rumored to be around $100,000 and putting out 400hp. But i am highly skeptical

If they came back with the Supra it would have to compete in the 30-40k area. Toyota name isn't marketed in anything higher unless they decide to call it the Lexus Supra. :-/

In fact, there is a tentative plan for a Toyota brand supercar that will price in the low 100k range. That is seperate though from the new replacement for the supra that allegedly should make its way to the US by the 2004-2005 model year. I don't think it will be called the Supra though.

It's in Toyota's collection of cars they keep in Torrance. I requested them to bring it to our meet in Carson back in August and they did bring it along with a CART vehicle, a Matrix, the Lexus V8 powered custom roadster, an official TRD Celica Long Beach Pro Celeb Car, and an MR2. I'll post some of the pics of it shortly with my car park next to them.

BTW, the Ultimate Celica was a half million dollar car. No plans to ever produce the 3S-GTE powered All trac chassis Gen7 Celica.

why was the supra discontinued in the first place? i thought it was because it was too expensive and maintenence was high etc so not a lot of people bought it. 100k is a lot...
