All,

Have you all noticed an increase in the amount of oil the engine uses up between oil changes on the higher mileage 1MZ-FEs? I've got a '99 V6 with 94K miles on it and it seems to me that the oil dip stick reading seems to go down slightly when it never did before. I've changed the oil every 4K, filter and five quarts. When I changed the oil three weeks ago the oil level was almost half way between the two dots on the dipstick. Even today, the level is a 1/6th of an inch below the top (full) mark in the dipstick.
Or am I just imagining things and all this is normal and never noticed it before?

the difference of the oil level on the dipstick translates to a difference of about 2oz. of oil in the engine. its not that much, nor is it anything to be worried about.
