really bad day for me too!! stupid door fell on my car!!
grrrrr....i think our solaras like getting banged up (get yur mind outta the gutter!)
well..i stayed up all night writing that stupid censorship paper and only got a couple hours of sleep on the couch. needless to say i was very cranky and in a bad mood...and late for class..and i still didn't even have everything ready for class!
well..the story gets better!! i was at my mother's boyfriend's house to park to go to the train station and pulled into his garage. well of course i didn't notice that he had a wooden front door (the nice heavy ones!) leaning up against the wall. it's a tiny garage and just barely scraped it will my mirror. whatever, no big deal, i just left it and went to school.
here's the kicker! i accessed the situation before i got into the car and decided that i just enough room as long as a cut the wheel a little then backed straight up...heheh..didn't work..i just barely hit it again...but the best part!! the frigin door fell on my car!! ahhhh!!
it took me like ten minutes of getting in the car and out, adjusting the door just so to make the door balance while backing the car out of the garage.
i was kinda hoping some random person would walk by so i could have the hold the door while i backed out.
the damage you ask?? a nice big, round, chunk of paint it missing from the tip of the passenger side mirror. damn it!! it's not huge, but it's big enough..probably a little less than a quarter size. that was one heavy door!! luckily there was no other damage.
anyone know what the best way to fix this is?? should i attempt touch up paint first or just go to a proffesional? maybe i should go down to the dealer and get toyota touch up paint?
