I just uploaded the pics from my latest detailing experiment.

This is Pinnacle Signature carnauba wax topping Klasse AIO. I plan to add another layer of Signature this weekend, weather permitting, and won't mess with it for about 6 weeks when I'll take everything off and get the winter protection started.

Here's a few pics...the rest are @:

Todd,

Excellent, excellent job! How long did it take and did you wax it in the shade?

Thanks Michael. I think this combo would look good on your ride too! :D

Sunday it took about an hour to wash & throw the Signature on. It is a wipe on wipe off product. I worked in the shade as much as possible but had to do a few spots in direct sunlight.

Friday I spent about 4-5 hours washing and polishing (Poorboy's Super Swirl Remover 2.5 in spots, SSR 1 over the whole car & Sonus Paintwork Cleanser) before applying Klasse AIO.

If you are working in direct sunlight, Poorboy's is the best.

This is cheaper than therapy...Zen and the Art of Solara Maintenance.

Oh yeah! I've actually clayed it twice and it is smooth as glass. It really makes a huge difference in what you see and feel. The prep work is where the shine/depth come from; the wax or sealant is like the cherry on top!

I plan to clay about twice a year.

Have you used clay on your wheels or glass yet?

I bought the Sonus Clay bar & Sonus Glyde clay lube from Autopia. I highly recommend both along with Autopia.

**Edit** The Autopia store is @: http://autopia-carcare.com/?source=autopia_store_page

The Autopia forum is @: http://www.autopia.org/

If you download the free car care ebook there is a 10% discount code you can use on all orders in the appendix.

$$$...after Rene & Hari, I'm gonna start charging. Hopefully they'll tip me a bit or something...I will work for detailing products, LOL.

I've got several paying jobs lined up over the next few weeks and can only do one or two cars per weekend and do mine and keep up with football. It looks like I may have a little side biz! Hopefully I'll be able to make some good money on the side this spring & summer.

thanks for all the compliments...I really like working on the car...

the wheels are clean on the outside, but I really need to take them off to clean the inside good & put some Klasse on the inside too....using a synthetic/polymer protectant will help to keep them clean...I can just wipe the outside part that is "waxed" with a paper towel now.
