Okay, I've got the OEM 2000 Solara grille.

Postby michaels artic frost » Sun Sep 12, 2004 1:25 pm

Here's the deal. I purchased the grill for $45 bucks. I've got to R&D on it.

Who wants the first one and how do you want it?

If you want the first one. You need to be SERIOUS about buying this grille because I don't want to customize one and you're not interested. So if those of you that want to wait to see how it will look, just sit back and wait til there are pictures.

Please remember that you will need to ship your old grille back to me so that I can make it for the next person.

Something else to mention...

Something else to mention...

I'm going to try and keep the cost as low as possible for everyone. I'm going to have one set price. Everyone will get that set pricing.

Now, if you want something that's different that what I'm making, tell me, show me, give me a pic to work with, or something. I'll be more than happy to try and make you a custom Gen 1 grill to your likings. It may be 5, 10, 15, or 20 dollars more. But it all depends on the material.

Again, I just want to make a nice custom grille for you Gen 1 folks that is affordable. I just don't understand why no one has mass produced this for you Gen 1 owners.

I'm not even sure how much time is going to be devoted to this project, so please BE PATIENT. I've got 'The Artic Frost Project' to work on as well. I will not be able to start R&D on this until next week because I'm having more work done on my ride.

Also, please don't get too crazed on the fact that you're not the first to receive the grille. I'm going to make a standard grille that looks good with the least amount of time and material; In return, I provide you with a nice grille at a DISCOUNTED price and everyone is happy :D .....I hope...lol.

Once the grille reaches the 1st or 2nd stage, I'll take pics and keep you guys posted so you can give me feedbacks while there's still time to make any modifications.

With that being said...Have a good week guys... 8)

O yea...NO MO DRAAAAMMMAA please...lol. I luv this place and I enjoy chattin with each and everyone of you. So, let's keep it KOOL!!!!

Holla!

Thanks bro.

For those of you that have been waiting for an update.

Okay...I've got some updates on the gen 1 grille. Just to let you guys know, my fingers have bleed, scrapped, pinched and everything else during the Gen 1 R&D-ing process.

No pics due to darkness in the garage, I'll try to get some pics soon. Again, this is still in the 1st stage.

Fingers hurtin' and bleedin',

smart approach. No grill needed. So there's no need to ship our grilles back and forth. tight tight. I cant wait to see the final product. PS: the chrome grill doesn't look good on that black car.

Looks like cruze cus it's the same mesh that he used on his, but he's got a different framing setup.

Also, that's a different mesh then Gen 2 combo sets; it's the same mesh as the Gen 2 lower black version two. I just R&D with that mesh to see how it would look.

I will probably try to use the same mesh that I used for the Gen 2 combo set.

There is no need to ship me your oem grille like Vi3tT3kNiqz said. No hassle of shipping oem grille to me and keeps cost down.

Thanks again for being patient. :D

the bumper uses the grill for support and strength, isnt it weak without the grill frame. Also how does it attatch?
