9006 to 9005 conversion

i was wondering if anyone had done this before. i was planning to have to do a 9006 conversion to 9005 . the only thing that i worried about is that it might burn too hot and melt something.

is this for fog or headlight? if for fog i heard it's not good to do it because the fog are not as focus. as for heat you shouldn't have to worry because it's only slightly higher will not burn/melt for sure.

hehe I just did this last night!

Check this out... http://home.comcast.net/~solarat2/retro ... psules.htm

Pics are with 9005 and the DIY for it is all the way down the page.

It can't be that much hotter as s99solara said. You can always upgrade the harness if you want that piece of mind.

I have this done in my fogs, and I finally got to test it out the other night with my yellow bulbs on my way home from the east end of Long Island. Giant improvement over stock 9006's and those hyper blue 9006's. I dunno if it was just the yellow part of the whole combination.

Everything took to play. 9005 is perfect brightness. I had yellow 9006 bulbs before and it was a joke. Not bright at all.

You all think we should upgrade the harness or the fuse?
