You would need to drop the pan to change that. I rather pay and save me the trouble.

its not hard at all.. u drain it.. and drop the pan, replace the filter.. bolt it back up.. fill... easy.. the only problem is its messy.. and there are at least 20 bolts holding the pan up.. .and ATF SMELLS!!!!

I thought our automatics had a reusable mesh screen, not a replacable filter for the atf. (at least my gen 1 V6 does) :roll:

So you thought. That screen can be replaced. Don't know about the v6 but for the i4 it can.

There are three magnets on the bottom of the tranny pan...make sure you put them back in the same spot after you clean the inside of the pan.

It took me about 1 1/2 hours to drop the pan, put a new tranny filter/screen on, rebolt the pan, and flush the tranny fluid.
