2 Questions - Power Boost Valve and Crankcase Vent!!
OK, two questions.
1. There is the 3/8 diameter rubber that runs from your power brake boost to back behind the throttle body. About cent way of the line there is a white plastic valve. It looks like a china hat (NO HARM INTENDED) in the middle. It is marked with an "E" and an arrow. My question is which does the arrow face? Towards the engine or the boost Unit?
2. I seem to be getting a considerable amout of air and oil from my crankcase vent line. So much that it clogged my MAF and the car stalled and would start but not run. Thank goodness I had a spare MAF. OK, what is causing considerable amount of air followed by oil to vent through this line?
OH ****. Been doing a little research and #2 could mean "piston ring failure" Got ****!!! Can this be true. My motors only got 26000 miles on it!!
Please respond.
