Well, it looks like I've had the misfortune of piston ring failure. Yea, I know it seems crazy with just 27000 miles but, I've got a lot of crankcase vent tube blow back with some oil.

So, while I'm in there how about suggestions for pistons, rings, valve springs and whatever else I should do while it's open. Don't foget to tell me where to get them.

Thanks

I would get total seal piston rings... they make a gapless top ring which are awesome.. they are chrome.... what I did was called Total Seal, and got an adress and sent them a piston, and they would fit it w\ the perfect rings... http://www.totalseal.com/totalseal3.html as far as pistons.. I thought u had forged components??? I would get JE forged pistons...

so did u have a leak down test?? what happened? weren't you running forged pistons??

No leak test until Monday. All the shops are too busy or closed. The pistons, like the rings are OEM.

gotcha.. I think I had you mixed up w\ someone else for the forged pistons.. I bet you ran lean and cracked a piston lan.. possibly more than one.. thats my guess.. u can either bore out the short block, if the scratches arn't deep enough and get aftermarket pistons.. or a new short block
