Has anyone every replaced an atumatic transy with a manual, because im bout to do it with my solara but needed some advice wether its good or not, and also if n e one knew n e good and decent priced places in LA county closer to west covina hit me up and let me know!!! because i found someone that can do it for $850 but he said the transy has like 25- 40 k shipped from japan, and i really didnt like that idea. so guys let me know plz?

Who is brainwashing your all this garbage? use the search button...and also, your more than welcome to use japanese trannys' from camry. (keeping in mind solara is a north american car only!).

JDM engines come with that many miles, why wouldn't transmissions? Aren't there Solaras in Russia? Or did russian_guy get his shipped? I dunno.

Solara's are NORTH AMERICAN limited only. Hence my previous statement. Russian guy exported his. I have seen a Solara in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and one in New Delhi, India. So there are more Int'l solara fan out in the world....but all of their rides origanted stateside.

locally means where he lives, some miles mean used.

thnx, i already got a tranny today installed for 1400 dollars , my friend hooked me up! it only has 7k on it, and its riding pretty clean
