Parking Brake light

The past couple of days the light for the brake on the dash keeps coming on as I'm driving then it just goes off. Anyone else ever have that happen?

Maybe you need to add brake fluid

the brake light on the dash will either tell you that you have your parking brake engaged or there is something to do with your brakes. in most cases it is low brake fluid or similar problems with your brakes.

If you bring your car into a mechanic for an oil change and you find that you don't have enough fluid you should 1) complain or 2) change mechanics. It's part of the service MOST mechanics perform. Along with topping all the other fluids.

The parking BRAKE light is all tied in to your whole brake system seperate of the ABS. Other than being a parking brake on indicator, it will come on during driving if there is any kind of malfunction in the brake system i.e.: low brake fluid, air in the brake line or etc.

Low brake fluid could also mean your brake pads are wearing down. In my case that was the problem. Pervious owner must have rode the brakes when ever they took it out for a ride. Only 10k and the brakes were pretty worn.
Had a 99 Solara SE V6. Had a 06 Tacoma. Now I have a 2008 Camry SE V6
