p.s. here is my first opinion of the short shifter

I LOVE THE HEIGHT!!!! its so sporty.. I love the height of the shifter, as well as how short the throw is. The only thing that is really different that im adjusting to is that the shifter doesn't move back to the middle like the stock one did.. its a lot stiffer.. ill keep u posted as my opinion progresses... also.. im working on getting those pictures posted
later

See this is what bothers me. The stiff part. How stiff is it? Cuz i dont wanna be building some man power just to daily drive this sucker and make sure its not in the wrong place. So someone explain pu pu puuleaseeeee

quite a few of my friends have shortshifters in their cars. so ive driven quite a few.. from experience i can say that it does require more force to put into gear. if youre not used to it, you may not put enough force and mis-shift. it just takes getting used to.. your arm wont be sore after driving for a while or anything like that.

but it does feel a lot sportier.. especially in a solara with a fairly long throw, i just cant wait to have a 60% shorter throw. :bday:

Well, yes that be nice to have short throw. But having that stiffness can be really tirering since I drive my car allot when im sleepy out of work. Ill make my desision this weekend when I test drive my friends GTS with twm short on it and see how it feels. Cuz i dont wanna say bye bye solara.

Just got to talk to my friend with a GTS tonight. He has the TWM shifter in. Its only stiff into gears but the nuetral area is smooth (and it was short too.ours gonna be long huh? unless we cut ours or something right?). I was told that the reverse gear is kinda hard so is that true?. SO COUNT ME IN W/OUT THE KNOB MUAHAHA... Also do they accept Pay-pal? cuz thats the only option I got.. :( ...

I got another question hahaha. I looked at the sites and with every shifter they include two stickers. Do we get any? haha
Quote from site "TWM Toyota Short Throw Shift Kits: All of our Toyota Short Shift kits are CNC machined to aircraft industry tolerances and nickel plated for ultra low friction and extreme corrosion resistance. Throw is reduced by up to 60%, and shift knob height is reduced by approximately 2 inches depending on model, for an improved sports car feel. All mounting hardware is included with our kits, as well as a detailed installation manual. All kits also include 2 white precision cut vinyl TWM Performance decals. "
