Kind of sounds like the motor mounts are getting weak to me. Check those.

I get this problem too. Have been for about almost 5k miles or so, and no one, not my mechanic or others, notice it or know what Im talking about. I know when I first got the car at low miles it wasnt like this. It used to be like the engine was non-existant. Now I can feel it a bit, but its still better than most other cars.

I hear that it could be transmission issues, maybe a flush or something would help? Anyone else chime in please, help us.

if your a pre 2001 4 banger (ie. 5sfe) dude...then your SOL. ALL 5sfe's have mild shakes. This problem is not isolated to Solara's alone, camrys and celicas that came with 5s motors are also plagued with this. If the shakes are like a lil' vibrator...then i'd get it checked..but if its miniscual then i'd wouldn't worry about it.

than it could be motor mounts, or tranny mounts. You over 100K miles?

i got the same damn problem as you. wow, hope it isnt that big of a problem cause ive been lax on getting it around to shops to see if other can give me another opinion. Ive just been thinking a transmission flush would help it out some, and a tranny cooler installed would help keep it that way, even though it doesnt have anything to do with the ATF getting dirty.

and im at a bit under 23k miles. Got the car at 7.5k.

I think possible cuases could be:

dirty air filter or spark plug
dirty A/F raito sensor or it is waiting getting warm up
dirty injector
dirty throttle body
dirty intake maniford/valve
EGR leaky
whatever mod you did mess up a little

Wowzie. Ok. The vibration is for sure annoying but you will start feeling it in any car ever made in this world most likely unless its a super luxury car then its more smooth out. As you drive your car on and on your engine just begins to break in and loosen up. The vibration is a normal thing and can not be stop to any point. It really just means that your engine is powered freely and broken in. BUT as more miles are added and so fourth of running your engine, it will start to increase due to yes drity this and that in your engine. The only way you can really stop it is go pro and redoing your engine every 10 to 15 G miles haha which that be crazy.

My car shakes hella bad all the time when it idles. If i put it in neutral it shakes less but when the car is in park or drive it sounds really bad and my check engine light starts flashing. I pulled the code awhiel back and it said i was having a missfire in cylinder #1. You are not alone

Probably a dirty throttle body... I had the same exact problem. Do a search and find my old thread.
