night vision

Postby Dawgz » Mon Sep 20, 2004 9:54 pm

I just got the idea

get one of those night vision wireless camera's off ebay for 66 bux, and then get a 7" tft monitor, hook the camera up in the front inside the grill probably and connect the reciever to the monitor in... it turns to color mode in light and turns to night vision in the dark....ive seen it at computer shows and stuff, they use it for security and stuff around the house...im gonna try it, estimated mod cost = 200-220 depending on how much u get the screen for.. :D if someone does this or has done it, leave some feed back on how it works, wat u use it for and stuff...

my question is not how, but why?

do you think you will be safer looking into a monitor rather than whats really in front of you?

or do you think by having night vision you will see ghosts or the boogey man?

Night vision

There is a yellow widebody MR2 wit 5-6 camera through out the car. Import Tuner featured it, but i can't find it on their website.
The car had a custom TRD 3000GT widebody, and a JDM 3SGTE engine.
It is pretty sweet, he had a moniter in the front hooked up to a LCD screen. Also a video projector to show up on the windshield if the need ever came.
That would be sweet to have a car in the front and one in the back, so you could see if the driver behind you was too close to your car.
2000 Solara SE auto V6. Diamond White Pearl.
Top Speed Run finished at 130 mph. :o
Too many modifcations for the signature.

It's not a good idea to drive at night with no lights...not becasue of what you can't see, that's your own problem if you drive off teh road or into a tree or something, but consider the other people who are out on the streets driving and can't see you.

I've said this in the past, and i'll continue saying this forever. Knight Rider was always ahead of its time....The windshield in KnightRider2000 (the movie) encompassed a devise, where the user has a choice of regular, night vision, thermal imaging. Not bad if you ask me....In time, i'm guessing, we will have an option that incorporates the whole windshild into night vision. I think it would be cool!
