Just bought Brembro rotors...

Check out the pads that the Tire Rack has. Hawk is a good pad, so is EBC. Some say the EBC eat rotors a little faster...I've had two sets and have yet to see any significant wear on my rotors. Having to put heat into the pad to make it work bad is my only complaint, but it only takes one or two stops to get them up to temperature.

as for pads consider ceramics...they are quieter and produce less brake dust and my Raybestos ceramics cost less than the OEM pads from the dealership.

Where'd ya get them?

my oem pads were wearing so i went into my local goodyear which had raybestos ceramics and they installed them for me along with a resurfacing my rotors...

ok cool thanks!! I'm still looking for brake hoses though....

Yeah I was thinking about it but I couldn't find any place online that offered the SS brake lines... any suggestions?

you try tirerack?

as for pads. i think EBC green had the best bite. however in return it would cause more damage to the rotor. (not like the human eye can see it anyway.)

TRD was ok, but they melted like butter.

EBC red was truly disappointing. it had so much brake dust and i feel that brake bite power was not as good as green.

right now im running on porter field. i dont like them b/c i feel they do not have as much bite power as EBC red. however they do not cause brake dust once broken in.

Ok cool I'll try the hawks.

They don't have any SS hoses on Tirerack if thats what you were saying.

Thanks for all the great info. I e-mailed the guy I bought the rotors from. I got a really nice form e-mail back saying they would be mailing them out in 2 days. Guess they won't be here by Saturday.

Just a follow up....

I installed the rotors and new pads Saturday.

Ha, the garage was going to charge me $250 I got the rotors and pads for a grand total of $160 and one hour of labor. The only reason it took me that long was because I had to run to town to get the m8 bolts to back the rotors off. :)

Easiest brake job evah!!!
