its suprisingly quiet for no muffler.

as for the sound, imho, it does not sound like G35. it has a deeper tone.

from the angle it looks like a reverse parking sensor..but that must have been an addon, cus i don't think those come even as an option from the dealerships.

it sounds way better than the g 35....that one sounds almost "robotic" or digitized for lack of better words....

That sounds much deeper and powerful than the G35, and it also sounds much louder and deeper than the TRD Muffler for Gen1s...its not the same is it?

Exhaust looks great! Im wondering if there are any noticable gains in performance ? Im thinking about getting one.

Thanks alot for the sound clips! I've been waiting for months to hear what this exhaust sounds like. I'll have to wait a few more days since my computer at work doesn't have sound, but I just wanted to thank you in advance for sharing. I've been wanting an exhaust tone similar to the G35 and everyone said that this car couldn't produce such a tone. I'll see for myself when I listen to your set-up. Thanks again!

BTW, do you hear the tone in the cabin? How does WOT (Wide open throttle) sound? Did you get any other piping done in addition or did you just replace the stock system?

i'm acutally thinking to post a video/music file which has higher sound quality. probably either in MPEG or WAV.
i'm still not sure yet, and i will try to update it ASAP.
i need to wait when my parents r not home~ ^^;;

Postby njdrive » Mon Oct 18, 2004 10:18 am

i drive g 35's off the ships when they come into the country....there is no sound like theirs...but it did sound pretty good.the idle is close but the throttle of the G35 has a nice light crisp sound. like a garggle......if that makes sense.......i have a four cyl....im goin to take my muffler off and see what i get........i dont know why u smelled anything all the muffler does is lower the sound it doesnt filter any fumes
