A/C removal

Postby SleeperSolara » Wed Sep 29, 2004 12:15 pm

Ok, i tried this many times to take out the A/C unit to change the bulbs, but i can only remove it so far out, because of the Cold/Hot control i can't take it out far, there's the cable that runs to the Cold/Hot controls, and i can't take the thing out.
What are some ways to take out the A/C unit.
All i want to do is change the bulbs or whatever, instead of the geenish color.
I've changed the ignition ring already[took of the green rubber cover]
Also did the guages[took of the green rubber cover].
Now my guages are an orangeish color which is "ok" for me for now.
I know there has been a thread about the bulbs, but i can't find any Super White Bulbs the are #194, they only have blue colored bulbs, and Xenon white[which isn't that bright]
Also i cna't find any place that sells #74 of whatever the number is[the bulbs that go in for the shift gear thing in the guages, and the other small places, where the warning bulbs goes.
Where can i find these two types of bulbs??
I already checked out Pep Boys, and AutoZone, and they don't have any Super White.

You might think that it is attached with wires but it is not. Look behind and you will find clips. Simply lift them up slightly and remove the face of the AC. Of coarse remove the control nobs and unscrew the two silver screws holding the face in.
