transmission flush parts

i'm going to flush it out this weekend
so i'm going to the dealership to pick up about 12 quarts of fluid (i'll return the extra later)
from what i read, i believe that my autov6 has a screen/filter which is reusable as long as you clean it. are there any parts that i need to buy when i'm flushing it out?
am i missing anything else?

You may want to get a new trans pan gasket from the dealer as well.

Oh and youll need a container or a bunch of empty soda bottles to put the old fluid into so you can take it to the proper disposal facility.

Be careful when replacing the pan, dont torque the bolts down too hard. I did and I had to drill and back the broken bolt out which was a minor inconvenience but annoying none the less.

You need tranny pan gasket and the drain bolt gasket.

You also need a 5mm hex key to take off the drain bolt if I remember correctly.

You will also need a tube to connect to the tranny fluid return line from the radiator so you can crank-flush all the fluid out.

If I were you, I would get better fluid.
