350Z or G35 sounds on a solara? Is that Possible?

Hello, I know you can get custom on the solara into a dual exhaust, but when you see a 350Z or G35 man they have awesome sounds from their muffler. I started to wonder since we do have a V6 and all like they do only we're weaker then them (i looked at it and cant figure it out still), would there be anyway to put their exhaust onto our car? I know ill have to weld it in since it wont fit but the back seems kind of hard since the room we have. Has anyone tried this before and will it even give the sounds they give? Gotta love that low profile tone sound when they just cruising and when they gun it, the monster roars from its silence.

it's the motor that makes that sound. the exhaust doesn't really do much to make that sound.

I think they are one big muffler with twin outlet? If you have 3.5L with good flow of exhaust, i would think it will make same sound.

LOL, you're kidding right?

There is no way to get that sound off of a solara unless you transplant a G35 engine.

If you do 2.5" piping straight from the cat, you'll be able to hear a sweet deep roar from our V6 motor . . . if you get rid of the cat, it'll be even nicer. I'm sure if you get that "dual outlet" set-up with 2.5" piping it'll sound pretty mean . . . but the G35's exhaust set-up is a bit restrictive (cuz my friend has a 6speed one . . . but it still sounds sick). but yea, hope this helped a lil . . . shootz

Im not sure but i remember riding in one and its quiet. This sucks haha would be cool if it worked on the solara. Looks like Ima have to go back to either the greddy which is to me still too loud or the apexi 2 which looks like it cant do much for the tip seems soo small like the stock one. In fact is apexi 2 exhuast system any good? It looks so factory-ish and the tip outlet is small from how Im seeing it. Ill post that question in another forum if I have to later but trying to save space haha but if it can be answer here that be nice haha.

I think if you replace your header, y pipe, and Apexi WS2, it might sounds close to G35? Apexi stuffs are in really good quality

No, the Maxima is Super Quiet! Same engine as the G35, different exhaust.

So, the G35, the FX, and the 350z are tuned to sound that way per their exhaust configuration.
Yeah, I've owned 2 Solaras so.............................Image
